My good friend moved many states away from Cleveland over the winter. Not only did my super great friend leave, so did my daughter’s friend and my son’s friend. Not only did all those friends leave, my babysitter left too! We were neighbors. We served in church together. We were the emergency, go to, “I need help” for each other…though I think I needed it more than she did. I still owe her for an ER visit or two. I could go on and on. But beyond being helpful, she made living far away from family ok, because they became our family. The other day I was out running in the neighborhood and turned the corner by her home and saw the big “SOLD” sign and burst in to tears. Man do I miss them. She is the type of person that is ALWAYS serving others and doing kind things. She’s active in the PTA, and a homeroom mom (which she recommends not doing…bwahahaha), and volunteering for things all the time. She is constantly smiling and laughing. I am a better person having known her. If I can turn out to be half the woman she is I will be a success! Thank you for sharing the last 5.5 years with me. My heart has a little whole in it that you must have taken with you. You are missed beyond words. Texas is one lucky state to get you!
