Once upon a time Grandma came to visit Cleveland from across the United States. One a beautiful sunny day with bright blue skies we went to enjoy nature at my favorite lake in the area. It was like a fairy tale. Sometimes things are so beautiful that they render me speechless. I sit back and try to take it all in, awed at the beauty around me. Plus I was joined with the company of my little family and my own Mom. It was an absolutely perfect afternoon. We filled it with skipping rocks, chasing four ducks, looking at the still water, almost loosing Grandma’s shoe, sitting, walking, smelling the crisp air, basking in the blessed sunshine, and loving. It might have ended with screaming on the way to the car, but I didn’t mind too much because the littlest just wanted me…her favorite, to be the one holding her. Of course I did.
