Iceland, Part 4 – Jökulsárlón, Fjaðrárgljúfur, & Arnarstapi

This sums up our trip to Iceland! We went to Jökulsárlón, Fjaðrárgljúfur, & Arnarstapi for our last few days. We saw part of the glacier flipping and were lucky enough to see the bright blue color that it is when it first comes in contact with the air. It only stays that bright blue for about an hour, good timing Gildea’s! Our last house was right on the cliffs at Arnarstapi. It was gorgeous, but oh so foggy. There were a couple days that we couldn’t see much of anything because of the fog. I kept saying that we should go back in the summer, only it was summer! We rode the fancy Icelandic horses. My youngest fell off when they started running back home (but they weren’t supposed to). It was super scary to see her laying there on the ground. I can’t believe she didn’t get stepped on. She landed in the soft sand and insisted on getting back on the horse to ride it back. Talk about a brave little girl! I sure do love you Iceland! I have a feeling I’m going to go back. This place speaks to my soul.
